Caroline & Ryan
A Trillium Links and Lake Club wedding in Cashiers, NC, overlooking Lake Glenville and layered with blue-and-green design details, specialty linens, custom installations, thoughtful guest experiences, and a sailcloth tent reception that felt refined, personal, and full of mountain beauty.
Caroline was studying interior design during the planning process, so from the beginning, we knew the design bar would be high. She had a clear visual eye and a thoughtful sense of style, and every choice was made with intention. As a partial-service wedding, Caroline brought strong creative direction to the table, while our role was to help refine, guide, and bring those ideas into a cohesive, elevated celebration. That kind of collaboration is where the magic happens: a bride with vision, paired with a planning team who knows how to shape the details, manage the moving parts, and make the day feel beautifully complete. The result was a wedding that felt personal, polished, and considered in every corner.
The day began with a church ceremony in Cashiers, NC, quiet, grounded, and deeply meaningful. Caroline and Ryan exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends in a setting that carried the weight of the moment with simple grace. It was heartfelt, reverent, and exactly the kind of ceremony that gives the entire day a sense of purpose. From there, the celebration shifted into full mountain weekend mode.
From the church, guests made their way to Trillium Links and Lake Club, where Lake Glenville and the surrounding mountains were waiting. The sailcloth tent overlooking the water gave the evening an open, elevated feel, the kind of setting that brings its own sense of atmosphere before a single detail is added.
Inside, the design felt fresh, layered, and beautifully considered. Long tables were dressed in Stradley Davidson linens in a blue and green palette, paired with white and green florals, candlelight, soft blue accents, and the warm wood details of the club. A custom-built seating chart, a custom bar front, and patterned details woven throughout the day added personality while keeping the overall look polished and refined.
Caroline’s appreciation for design made the process especially collaborative, but the strength of the day came from how intentionally every piece was guided into place. From the invitation suite and welcome materials to the bridesmaids’ blue-green dresses, tabletop details, and overall palette, each element was connected with purpose. The result was a celebration that felt cohesive, personal, and beautifully executed from the first impression to the last.
Beyond the design, what made the day feel truly alive was the thought poured into the guest experience. A custom watercolor map, live artist station, audio guest book, and personalized bar moments gave guests more than beautiful details to admire. They created opportunities to interact, remember, and feel genuinely woven into the celebration rather than simply observing it.
The band kept the dance floor full, Caroline and Ryan slipped into late-night looks that felt easy and fun, and the energy under the tent only continued to build. The night ended with a just-married golf cart exit dressed in oversized blue bows, the perfect final touch for a wedding weekend at Trillium.
